Dixie Hunt

Like so many others who are in the holistic health field, I discovered (holistic living) back in the late 70’s. For almost 15 years I had suffered from unexplained fevers. My insurance company had spent close to a quarter of a million dollars (including trips to the Mayo Clinic) for my general medical Doctors to tell me the fevers were of 'unknown origin' in other words they could find nothing wrong, I started praying that I would be led to find a cause. Then a friend crossed my path who told me about iridology which told me within 5 minutes the source of my problem. It was not shocking as the problem had been one of my suspicions, but my Doctors had missed it.

After using herbs to get well, I took a look at what was wrong with the picture of a purely medical approach to health and decided I needed to know about herbs and alternative healing that the orthodox medical world just does not know. My curiosity became a burning desire to learn all I could and I knew I had found my purpose in life — which was to help others have better health without the use of drugs or surgery.

Of course, the time to learn all that I needed to know was not to be had in a few years, but turned into 11 years and many travels to the west coast where alternative health was more accepted and widely taught. I remain in the midwest with my family, and now for many years, I have been able to bring my passion for alternative health into my own business to help and to teach others!
